Would you Trust these Fittings?

Thread Starter
Hi guys

Is it a good idea to cheap out on compression fittings?
I've found these super cheap fittings.

http://highflow.nl/aansluitingen/fit...ck-nickel.html

Apparently, it says that it's 'brand-less', so I don't know if I should trust these or not, or else I'll go with some EK-PSC fittings, since I don't have much to spend.

Thanks

Is it the same as in the pic? They look very similar to BP fittings, but who knows. Maybe they are made by the same people. I'd email the shop or call them and see if you can find out more info. But I don't see much that can go wrong with a compression fitting as long as it works. I'd be more worried about rotaries and such.

Some of the expensive ones barely have a lip on them to seal the hose. I dont see a problem with them. You could always order one and test it.

All my compression fittings I bought brandless, all fine and looking great.

You should leak test anyway, if you have an issue, send them back...

same here, i have a couple of EK ones, but i dont see a difference between the EK one and the brandless ones i have... just be sure you install them properly,

sometimes the most simple ones are the best ones, a normal tube on barb with clamps, they dont look as good as compression fittings but imo, i find them safer ^_^

It states "nickel plated brass" and g 1/4, that's good enough for me.

They look like the XSPC ones btw

Hey,

I had almost the same ones with my first loop, the hose was connected securely , but there was one draw back and that is when you tighten the ring, the hose tens to rotate with it. but beside that they were good. (I ordered my aswell @highflow)

Hope i could help you out.

Yours,
Rex
