Still calling this.
It's not dropping down. It's gpuz not reading the fan speed correctly for the accelero.

Yeah you got me, your cpu sure clocks way higher than mine
L2R troll? Another member's score? This CPU's all mine. I have worked with a friend to get his CPU upto 5GHz but this CPU's mine.

If it was reading incorrectly, why would it be showing a reading? Even the top overclockers on HWBot haven't got a 5870 upto 1200MHz on air, Vantage stable.

:golfclap: its a shame though mine is my 24/7 oc.

Heres another 5870 on air at almost the same clocks.

Read through it all so far. I must say I want to believe him, and most of me does. But can at least fill in your sig rig? And a picture of your card/setup is also a must when you claim to get this high of an OC.

It shows a reading b/c there's an actual voltage present on the pwm sensor perhaps. having 3 fans wired up to the same pwm control can lead to voltage fluctuations and speed variation since not all the fans speed at identical speeds. I can assure you the fan was maxed out.

I wasn't aware that top overclockers used air. You would have an argument if they used the exact hardware I have installed and couldn't reach the same clocks. Unfortunately for you all hardware clocks differently.

I don't think you could. Not at -55c on that cpu. You'll need a lot more cold to get through more than a 5 second loop of linpack or prime95.

Unless of course when you say 24/7 you mean superpi. Then I would agree.

I guess that kind of makes sense. The is a air cooling section on HWBot, were there are crazy thinks done.

Indeed, it would not be all that stable but I could run 4.8Ghz Wprime 1024mb stable.
