Agreed. A validation is a validation, no matter which way you spin it. Is 2000MHz CC going to be stable? Hell no, but then again, are OC world records for CPUs stable? Why is there suddenly being a double-standard issued for GPU OCs? If he got to 2GHz core, great.
This is what OC'ing is all about; pushing it to the maximum possible. Not sitting around watching Furmark loop for five hours after increment to the clock (which is arguably little more exciting than watching paint dry).
Good stable OCs have their own place. Clearly, he was just trying to see how far he could push it and get a validation.
