Gotta agree with you 100% there...

I have been running 3 months at 1.54v @ 5.1

And it's not like these are $1000 cpu's... it dies, degrades go buy another

IBT or LInx are crap for testing 2600k
Prime95 Small FFt is crap for testing 2600k

The only way is to run Prime95 blend for 6-12 hours Which ever make you comfortable.

Will you be using your pc 6 straight hours 100% load for anything, most of us wont. Some people just go overboard. For some prime95 blend running for 2 month is stable, would you still do it. For other 1 hour prime95 is stable. Most people go for 8-12 hours. For me running prime95 when i go sleep and when i wake up to go to work (don't care how many hours) if its still running is 100% stable FOR MY NEEDS.

Keep telling yourself that. I've seen a few more, instead.

"it dies, degrades go buy another"

Yeah, it's not like we have to work to get money or something. Thanks god they grow in trees.

Link? Because so far on Xtremesystems, hwbot.org, techpowerup and here there's been MAYBE two cases and one was at 1.62v 24/7.

Plenty of links, bro.
The author of the P67 overclocking guide had his CPU degrade around 1.5+V with LLC2. You can ask Sin0022 for yourself. He even wrote in the guide that it happened.

Both of C_N's chips degraded rather quickly, one at MUCH lower voltages; both of his chips needed 0.05 to 0.07v more vcore than when brand new (his godly 2500k starting at 1.29v for windows bootable 5 ghz-->1.35v and stabilized). Note that C_N's rig was pictured on Gigabyte's site for holding the record record for a 2500k at that time, as he reached 5800 mhz.

My first rather cool running 2600k degraded from needing 1.45v to 1.5v load. Second one is much better, about 0.015v degrade only. Currently, 1.450v BIOS is stable enough for prime (1.404-1.416v load), while 1.455v is great (1.416v load)--not going to be running LinX AVA on this CPU, unless you buy me one.

A folder in the distributed computing "who's still using 2600k?" thread on hardforum ran two months at 1.52v 24/7, and his CPU degraded to where it's not even stable past 4.6 ghz anymore.

One poster JUST YESTERDAY bought a CPU that did 5 ghz 1.47v stable, and that chip died to the point where it refuses to take ANY voltage at all.
Post is in the XS "2600k batch # thread."

Now, for those who don't get it, JUST BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN TO YOU, DOESN'T MEAN IT WON'T HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE!" Some people DO experience degradation, even at low voltages--they will lose the low vcore extremes of high overclocks. Others won't. Different CPU's will respond differently.

Just make sure to keep the ram volts 1.5v and under, if u want to push high v-cores. The imc degrades fast...

then nothing to worry, just make sure like everyone said at load it does not go crazy the voltages like abov 1.5V whih i dont prefer

if i remmber correctly u did post intially to get slight overclock and hestating to over clock beyond 4.5 or 4.8 ghz
