Want a Ducky Keyboard - when will there be stock?

Thread Starter
I've been researching mechanical keyboards intensely for about a week now, and have narrowed it down to either the Ducky 9008 w/Brown Cherry switches or the Das Keyboard Professional Silent (Brown Cherry again).

I see three on ebay but they aren't exactly what I'm looking for. Then I found tankguys website but there is not stock available.

I'd like to order a keyboard very soon, as I'm stuck typing on this POS Microsoft membrane model. Will there be stock on the Ducky soon, or should I go ahead and order the Das?

Blessings!

Jay

I don't understand the frenzy for mechanical keyboards. I've used a few and my g15 is still superior.

Watch this thread for any updates; I WILL be the first to get an ETA on restocking and it WILL be posted there once it's set in stone. Patience is essential, this is a very big order compared to the first one.

You'd probably get the best answer over at the mechanical keyboard guide; read the first page, and if it doesn't clear things up, just ask there.

The "main" difference between a rubber dome keyboard and a mechanical keyboard is the amount of effort it takes to actually press that key. The entire design of a mechanical keyboard is directly related to pressing a key and having the computer register before you bottom out.

Basically, when pressing the key LITTLE force is required to type. Also, it feels and sounds to me at least... ABSOLUTELY euphoric.

Exactly, going from a rubber dome to mech was amazing, going in the reverse direction was terrible.

I just absolutely adored my first mech keyboard, waiting for Ducky to come back in stock/Amazon to stock up on Filco Reds or Browns/Leopold to come out with Reds.
