Blue Screen on my new build

Thread Starter
My new build of only 3 days old blue screened once on start up. But it only did it once that day even though i restarted the computer a few times. But today, the computer had been on for about 14 hours when it randomly blue screened again. It only appeared for about 3 seconds before the computer restarted itself and then began to say that Steam had an error and Steam wasn't able to start up. After installing a few updates for windows thinking it would get rid of the problem, i restarted the computer, it blue screened again. Then after restarting it happened again and now when i start up my computer it stays on the BIOS loading screen and i'm not able to do anything. Can anyone help me solve to problem.

Go to the user control panel and fill in your system specs so we can see what equipment you are working with.

Are you overclocked at all? But we need to see what MB, CPU, etc you are running.

Fill out system specs in full.

And generally, clear CMOS and see if that fixes it. If it does, then run memtest86+ and check for errors. If you still can't boot after clearing the CMOS, test each stick of memory individually with memtest86+.

Press F8 and try to load last good configuration, it would be great if you could give the blue screen error code so we can get an idea what is causing the problem.

ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard
8Gb Vengence 1600Mhz RAM
MSI 6950 Twin Frozer II Pre-overclocked GPU (810/1250)
HX750 Corsair PSU
OCZ Vertex 2 60Gb SSD
Samsung F3 1Tb HDD
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ cooler
Fractal Design R3 mid tower case

Those are the specs of my computer. Also, the blue screens don't stay on the screen long enough for me to read or right down what the errors are.

I've now managed to get into windows. It just turned it on this morning, it blue screened again after the windows logo, then I did a windows memory diagnostic which it offered me to do. It passed, but I'm guessing that it's a rubbish test anyway. I then did a system recovery which it seemed to have fixed. Hoping it doesn't do this again.
