I'm not sure what you're asking, why wasn't me CPU stable @ 1.26v in other words? I'm not sure. I pumped some more core voltage into it and it's fine now.

It's not CPU degradations per se, just these chips can be really finicky and BSOD even on an otherwise perfectly stable OC, so for 100% stability a little more voltage smoothed it all out. There has been a rash of "idle crashes" where people aren't even stressing their machines or running anything and this causes them to crash. It's a slightly weird platform, so the normal thinking may not apply.
Which makes sense considering that everyone is OCing by > 1GHz (which is a funny thing to take for granted).
