Can I use speakers for two sources at once?

My htPc is currently hooked up to klipsch pro media 2.1 comp speakers and in a week I'll be moving into my own apartment where my tv will get surround sound and the klipsch downgraded to bedroom speakers

My question is can I hook these speakers up to both a xbox and airport express in order to listen to the tv or play music if i want to?

I'm sure i can buy a headphone splitter? 1 female to two males? Is that possible. Then go from 3.5mm to RCA on the xbox through couplers of some sort...

Yea, I do not see a problem.

Just make sure not to run both sources at once

You could get the VGA adapter for the Xbox, which has a 3.5MM adapter where you connect the 2 RCA sound cables, you plug the 3.5MM into your Line-In on your motherboard, and enable it through the control panel. Sound would output through the speakers.

Or just go straight to the RCA to 3.5MM for Line In.

Yeah you can, you can even use both sources! It will just mix the two channels.
