This whole thing is ridiculous, I would have RMA'ed it to NewEgg immediately and told them it came like that.

I would have to agree with this. Any time something comes in damage due to poor handling by the shipper, i would rma with the retailer. I would tell them it arrived damaged, omitting the part about the box being damaged.

Thats how most retailers work. If they can pawn the loss on another party (like ups) they will.

I think the reason newegg is giving you the run around is because you told them it arrived in working condition but the box was dented. They see a chance to duck the loss so they are going for it.

Inspite of the dent in the box, i find it hard to believe that the fan blade would fly off due to damage caused in transit. Especially if the retail box the card came in was fine. The retail packaging for video cards is usually pretty sturdy. I think this was just a defective card that slipped by msi's qa department (if they have one).

edit: another thing i have noticed with newegg is that they like to play favorites. I have a buddy who has had bad experiences with there rma department. But he has only bought maybe $200 worth of stuff from newegg all together. Me, I have bought over $5000 worth of stuff from newegg, and any time i have an rma they waive the shipping cost, and some times the restocking fee.

i wish i could just tell them it came like that now though., -_-..idk what to do because MSI will make me pay 45$ and they said i prob wont get a tf3 back because they have no refurb ones now, and i want a TF3 back..i paid 300$ for a special 6950 -_-...

ive bought over 2000$ of stuff from newegg

btw the box had a i5 2500k in it, ram, and hyper 212heatsink (which the BOX of the 212+ had a dent too, but no damage. and it had very bad packaging for the box
