*EDIT* if the Bulldozer isn't near up to par of the Intel Sandy Bridge I'm going with that. I will need to upgrade everything though so I may not depends where my cash flow is at the time of release.

16.8 is what i scored with my single 5870? I would say you have a Huge CPU Bottleneck. Overclock ASAP to fix the issue.

Ok, I'll run it again with CPU at 3.8-4.0GHz

See I saw similar results as the OP did with my sig rig but with a 6950 before I switched to the 6970. When I ran the 3Dmark11 I got a total of 4848 but my physics score was above 8000. I unistalled 3Dmark when I was having some system issues a few days ago and reinstalled everything. My Uni heaven 2.5 scores are still low I think with the 6970 even at 1079, and that was with oc tune turned on in the asus mobo bios. It cranks it to 4.4ghz but the test said the CPU flagged at 3.55. My min FPS was 23, and max was 92. Avg was 42.3

With my previous 6950 heaven 2.5 bench was 979 and almost the same FPS results as the 6970.

Is it common for some of the newer 6970/6950's to clock lower for some reason?

Not sure if diabling the speedstep feature would help at all in the bios, and then running the oc tuner to get auto overclocking. The only thing I saw that was bad awas the Dram was just over 1.65v. I was told that was too high.

Thanks for your Help smile.gif +Rep, I just posted back to 4017GHz CPU so I'll run Heaven again and edit this post.

*EDIT* OK so I tweaked my CCC settings and OC'd my CPU to 4.0GHz, it now posted this.

Gotcha smile.gif Yeah I'm convinced it is the CPU bottlenecking it.
