Test Request: AMD Card & Nvidia Card Multi-tasking

Heya everybody,

+many internets to people who do this, preferably with screenshots or video or whatever.

I've for a long time been a supporter of Nvidia. I have never had an Nvidia card give me troubles with heavy multi-tasking such as several 3d applications at once, alt tabbing constantly, or overheating.

I'm considering doing some changes to my system and was wondering if anyone here could do a test for me.

Basically have an AMD (6xxx series) and an Nvidia card (4xx/5xx) series, and throw all hell at it. Multiple 3d applications, heavy multi-tasking/alt tabbing, things like that.

I would do it but I don't have an AMD card to test with, but I know many people here have a lot of extra parts or extra systems.

I generally run 2 3d applications at once along with alt tabbing between both frequently and other programs. Over the years I have had ATI cards fail me (3870, 4770, 4890, 5850), but never an Nvidia card (GTX 260, GTX 460 1gb). If anything with the Nvidia card, the program crashes but the driver never does.

I would like to see if AMD has changed at all, or perhaps I was getting bad luck with drivers. I would certainly like to try Crossfire out and see if it would work better/yield more results than when I had SLI GTX 260s, but overall I would rather not have any driver failing.

Please keep the thread clean and with facts/test results. I don't care about power consumption or heat or OC ability, I just want driver stability.
