um, that's only if you got the PS3 version... and theres no PS3 double pack... so you'd have to get the PS3 version for $50-$60, then u get a PC steam code for it ... they're not going to mail you a PS3 copy...

Exactly, if anything its the exact opposite. It looks absolutely brilliant, is fun and it feels like its made for a mouse/kb. Maybe you're thinking that because the source engine is getting a bit dated?

Personally, I think that Valve using a 7 year-old engine, coupled with their refusal to reveal to us anything about Half Life 2 Episode 3, nay Half Life 3, nay that they are even working on it, nay that they care to or want to work on it, nay that they give a crap what we think.. and continue to subsequently treat us like stupid kids..

Makes me stay away from this purchase. I know it won't teach them anything, but it's the principal, and I guess I am the kind of person who cares about the principal.

The COD series isn't any better... they've been using that engine for way way too long now. As for them revealing stuff, its unlike valve to do that... did they ever do that? Its all a surprise, a mystery and its all a game to them, plus it adds of the awesomeness of their games so I'm happy

Of course you don't have to agree with me, its just that thats how they do stuff, its who they are and I'm fine with it.

explain to me what is so bad about an older engine? The shell of the game looks pretty darn good...I don't see the problem

I disagree for one reason:

It used to be fun and cool back when they actually released some games.

They started the Half Life 2 Episodes in 2005 and have actually LEFT US HANGING for the finally.

Imagine them cutting Half Life 2 right before the end in 2007 and leaving us with nothing until now.

It's annoying.

There's nothing quite like being able to max out your favourite game with AA, AF and all the extras at 100+fps average. I love the source engine. It's incredibly clean, very well optimised and I hope it lasts for a very long time.

I'm sure many people would rather wait for them to do it right than have it released now and it be wrong.. same thing happens with Blizzard, they take years and years to test a game but not once have they released anything that wasn't A+ standard.

Hey listen,

I've been saying for years how the Source engine still looks good.. but that was back in 2008, maybe 2009.

Now it's 2011 and it's starting to look worse than the console ports, even though it's developed on the PC!

It only adds to my frustration at Valve for simply not caring anymore.

They don't release any more Half Life games, they don't make any more engines.. they just ride Steam and forget about the hardcores.

It's nice that they made Steam, really, I bought my copy of Unreal Tournament 3 on Steam for 3$.. but without something more interesting to buy, such as Half Life 2 Episode 3, it's useless.

You can't say there's not enough content on Steam.. anyone recall a certain Potato Sack full of 13 fun indie games for half the price of any chart game?

Do it right?

You can't dangle a string in front of my face and then take it away telling me that the surprise you led me to is going to take 6 years to make.

That's just being a jerk to your fans.

And I am a HUGE Valve fan, still, unlike what happened with Nintendo.

And I could run any Source engine game at 100+ FPS with my old 8800 GTS.

Now, it's just a joke. If I actually enable FRAPS on it, I'd be getting 300+.
