It's sort of like the bastard child of an IPS panel and a true 120hz screen.

I do agree though that it's not "bad" per se. Not compared to standard TNs anyway. It's just not what was advertised...

is possible to set 120hz on the refresh of graphic card?

yes or not?

I Too am looking at this monitor, however i cannot decide, mainly because we still dont know if its IPS or not...

I was taking a look on LG's website and they have a smaller version of this model advertised as IPS, the E2370V-BF
http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-E2370V-BF.jsp

the spec's look almost identical to me, yet one is advertised as IPS and the other IPS isnt mentioned on the site :S

however the E2770V-BF specs under panel type state: TBD whereas the 23" states: IPS

anyone have the 23" version? Is it really IPS?

As has already been stated and confirmed by the panel it uses, it's a TN (albeit one of the best ones). If you're looking for a 23" IPS monitor, get the Dell U2311H.

It hasn't been confirmed by a reliable source yet.

Yes, it has. Look up the panel and you'll see it's a TN. Already been confirmed thanks to TFTCentral.

thats the E2770V-BF thats only been stated as that no? or has the E2370V also confirmed as the same panel?

http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/index.jsp?value=ALL

you can see that LG uses an IPS logo over the screens with IPS, the E2770V isnt advertised as IPS there, however the E2370V is? does anyone know if the 23" being advertised as IPS is true? and if it is, I'd love to know how it looks before making up my mind :/
