Looking for a PSU for Overclocked i5-2500K and SLI GTX570.

I'm looking at the Corsairs. I've been told 850W was good but I was thinking 1000W. But I also heard for SLI GTX570 a 1200W was correct. I'm gonna be overclocking my Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz so I need power for that too.

So can anyone tell what wattage is right for my needs?

PS: What's the difference between these two 850s? Why is the HX more money? Is it better for gaming?

Any quality 750W will do the job.

The HX850 is a higher quality, better performing unit. It has better voltage stability, ripple suppression, and efficiency, and in addition is modular so you can remove most cables you don't need.

The TX850 is an outdated unit, and is being replaced by the TX850v2 (or TXv2 850W), which is far better, though not as good as the HX850.

The HX850 is in turn being replaced with the AX850 which is marginally better and is fully modular, meaning ALL cables can be detached.

So the AX750 would be sufficient?

Would there be any benefit to getting a higher watt? I have the money for it. Would it enhance the life of my PC at all? I'm putting $2000 into it with liquid cooling and all that junk. So I want it to be safe for many years.

The AX750 is definitely a quality 750W, which falls under phaedrus' statement of what would do the job heh.

There is no benefit to getting "more watts", it will not increase your components lifespan, nor does it affect the quality of power that is delivered to them (unless you manage to go over the specification for the PSU, which you shouldn't given your set up). If you really think you're definitely going to go bigger (SLI 580s or something) then it might be something to consider if you don't care about the money. That's really the main consideration here, the AX750 and AX850 will deliver the same quality of power, the AX850 just has a little more of it, and comes at a higher price.
