The side of the cable with a clip is supposed to fit into the side of the board with a plastic clip.

Plugged it back in properly while doing the test. It's still not booting btw. It's correct, It's just a pain because I'm having trouble plugging it in without bending the mobo a little bit in the process

The fan on the Seasonic 850X does not turn on until there is a large load on it.

I checked and rechecked everything for hours... I still don't know why it doesn't boot or even give me a beep

You wouldn't happen to have a spare PSU laying around would you?

A few things to try:

1. Remove the battery from the motherboard for a few minutes. (With the computer unplugged) Then put it back in and try starting it.

2. Do you have a digital multimeter?

Try this:

- Unplug the PSU power cable from the back.
- Take out the CMOS battery.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Put the battery back in.
- Plug the power cable back into the back of the PSU.
- Try to turn it on again.

The CMOS battery is the metallic disc next to the 2nd blue PCI-e slot:

Also, if that does not work. Try pressing the Mem OK! button next to the 24-pin ATX power port.

Also, your motherboard comes with a TPM:

Plug that in. It seems to be able to output debug errors. Try turning your board on with that installed.

It goes here where it says TPM:

Tried the Mem OK! a long time ago. I even tried holding it down for 30 seconds or so. I tried the diagnostic card. The power and reset lights up but no numbers on the LED display. Pressing the buttons do nothing. Going to try the battery thing now, but it'll take some time because my graphics card happens to be there

It's the PSU, just swap it

Took out the battery for a bit and it did no good. I'd love to swap the psu but I don't have a spare on me. I'm looking to see if there's a DMM around the house. If anyone has any more ideas I'll try them out, but in a few hours I'm gonna take it to the store.

Found a DMM. What do you want me to check with it?
