Corsair GS600 and others

Hi Guys,

Can u help me decide on a PSU, i have a few questions as well. First off

Is the gaming series from corsair any good, will this unit be able to handle unlokcing and overclocking ?

I Don't have Corsair TX650 or HX650 available at my place, no availability of Seasonic X series either, no Antec true power too.

Corsair's TX650w is available but not the version 2, how much imporved is version2 from the previous version, also are available seasonic's Seasonic S12II / M12II, very confused here.

Get the Seasonic S12II, or M12II if you need modular. The GS600 and original TX650 are both pretty average performers.

SO i have been searching for the past few hours, calling all the computer shops i know in my area, and Antec Truepower New 650w is available to me, is this unit better than the once quoted above, i can't seem to find some good reviews about this unit, all i have been able to google are quite generic in nature.

Also i have written to NZXT about their hal90 650w power supply, maybe they can arrange one for me. The efficiency for NZXT series of PSU's seems to be quite high if one is to go by the specs provided on their website.

SoGuys, what are your opinions on these both ?

i know gs 600 is an avg performer but as u can see it handles my sig rig just fine and i tried running another gtx 460 and it was able to handle it too....still the ax/hx...and s12 r better options.......

The NZXT, TP-650 and S/M12II are all solid... just get whichever is cheaper in your case.

The cheaper option is the Antec truepower new 650w in my case, but the thing is that reviews say that this one is just bronze certified whereas NZXT is suposedly 87% efficient on full power according to the reviews and specs on NZXT website, the price for NZXT is still not clear but this has got me confused now ...

Any more input while comparing between the 2 ?

The amount of money you'll save on the electricity from the efficiency differences are negligible.

okay so after reading that, the Antec one is a bronze rated psu with minimum 82% efficiency whereas NZXT one is a gold rated PSU with minimum 87% efficency.

Antec has multiple 12v rails whereas NZXT has a single 54A rail

the price difference between the two is not much though around 20$ ???
