I see you can also add a 90mm side fan. Would a 92mm fan fit in the rear or side holes? If so I'd get some CM Blademasters to put there (best small fans IMO).

Kind of a lot so spend on upgrading your case flow. Next time I'd just get a CM 912
That is kind of lot to spend. I can't really afford that much.

If you do want to overclock and maintain low noise there is no way around it, you need a taller cooler like CM Hyper 212+ and so on...which will require a wider case.
Idk if water coolling would fit in your case (like Corsair H50 or H70). They are quite expensive though....
I looked at all those coolers and as much as I like them, they are quite out of my budget. My case could fit water cooling(which I'd love to have) but like you said they are quite expensive.

One can be had for $25 and it supports push pull configurations too. ^^ I've got one and it keeps my CPU nice and cool. I'm pulling around 121w from my overclock and I peak at 47*C after the overclock of course. Great little cooler. ^^
I'm looking at that.

What do you think about this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103057

You don't need to buy all of those things at one time

Have you thought of modifying your stock cooler? You could lap it (cost is a piece of sand paper), apply better TIM (cost is about $5 to $7), and strap a better/quieter fan on the cooler (I suggest a CM Blademaster 80mm, ).

I really recommend the other case fan upgrades I pointed out as well, in due time.

the n520 is very quiet for its cooling ability

im sure it will let you oc your 555be, will take some good airflow in your case to hit 4ghz

if your case is 7in thick, it can take a 160mm hsf
212+ or d14/silver arrow can fit (if your mobo will support them)

Thats $15 spent right there. I'd much rather get an aftermarket heatsink and be done with it. I do have another $3 90mm fan lying around that I can put as a side fan. But first I'm gonna get a good HSF see how things work.

If you look in the case manual(post #4), it says the case is 7.08" thick but it also says that the cpu cooler should not exceed 148mm in height...
I'm not really sure if thats the absolute maximum height allowed or if they are being conservative.

EDIT: I just measured it using a ruler to be sure. Its the absolute maximum. Motherboard to the opposite side is 15cm.

they probably put the lower hsf clearance for so you can add a side fan

Err, its confusing now..

The 341 is 7.28" deep, 342(mine) is 7.06" deep. That results in a difference of 5.5mm.

Another thing to note is that the CM Elite 341 accepts a 120mm rear fan. My case, Elite 342 accepts only 80 or 90mm. There is some leftover room around the fan when its installed but not enough to fit a 120mm. Possibly a 110mm.

Possibly the gap between the mobo tray and the right panel is more in case of 342 compared to 341.
The frio is 165mm high. Does it fit perfectly with the side panel on in the 341?

UPDATE: I remeasured it and the distance between the motherboard and the opposite edge is 156mm. Looks like I CAN fit a 120mm fan HSF in there.
Thank you GAMERIG for making me redo the measurements.

I searched everywhere for the Elite 341 manual to cross check with the 342 manual. They would've put the low value of clearance on both manuals. I couldn't find the 341 manual.
So I took out my ruler again and did some thorough measurements.

What are your recommendations that will fit my case?
The frio would definitely not fit as its 165mm high.
Hyper 212+, is something like 159-160mm iirc..
I think I should get something under 155mm just to be on the safe side.
