It's funny. SSDs have yet to be embraced by the enthusiast community, and some argue they will be mainstream within 3 years.

Not sure I follow about being careful who I say it to lol. I just don't think that SSDs will become as cheap as some people are hoping, anytime soon. I also don't think they will be mainstream with custom pc builders either until the price does go lower than I expect it to. Price is the biggest thing putting people off because of the capacities.

My rig is quite bad, but i'm getting an SSD this week before upgrading/replacing the whole thing in August. Because i want to enjoy a responsive and fast rig until then. ( Yeah i took the SSD off my budget for the next build, so it's not money thrown away )

I'm not seeing where it said that, but hell good luck with that.

A select few stated they upgraded their C2Ds with SSD in favor of buying an i7...

I can see that reasoning...it's cheaper to eliminate a bottleneck then to upgrade CPU/Mobo
