Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 Rev2 RAID 0 issues

When I first bought the board, I had a raid 0 setup with two Samsung F3 500gb drives. The array would only live about half a day, then I would get a bsod (random error code every time) and then I couldn't boot into windows any more. It would just sit in bios at "Loading Operating System" Windows repair did nothing. When I tried to reinstall the OS it didn't see the drives correctly and it gave me errors saying it couldn't format the disk. So I had no choice but to rebuild the Raid array, (deleting the meta data on the disks and redoing everything) It would work, and allow me to reinstall, but it consistently failed, and so I gave up and just used the drives in native IDE mode. Both drives have been working with out issues for about a year now, but I miss the speed of the raid array. Anyone have ideas on what the issue was?

What Sata Ports did you have your Raid connected to? 0-5 Blue? GSATA 6 or 7 White sideways?

I was using 0 and 1 blue, then I tried 2 and 3 blue, but the white ports never saw my hard drives, or anything for that matter. The Sata 3.0 controller was enabled and nothing would show up when connected to the 3.0 ports. But I had to disable the 3.0 controller to get windows to see the hard drives on ports 0 and 1 as usable, even when they aren't in raid. The first 870A I bought had a dead IO controller, and this board is the replacement. I am disappoint but what can I expect for a sub $100 mobo I suppose
