Help me with grip/mouse?

Thread Starter
I'm a Bi-curious, I use both styles I vary from palm to claw from time to time.

And atm I'm looking @ Razer Deathadder, Zowie EC1/EC2, Microsoft WMO/1.1/3.0, Mionix NAOS 3200.

I'm really paranoid about laser mouse so please make sure if it can track on a QcK Heavy (cloth + all black).

And apparently Steelseries made versions of WMO/1.1/3.0?

I wouldn't recommend 3.0/DA/EC1/3200 if you we're strictly clawing, but they would all technically work if you tend to switch it up from time to time. You're going to literally want the lightest mouse you can get your hands on for when you do feel the itch to claw.

Respective weights:

DA3.5G ~112G / DA3G 108-109G
3.0 105-106G
Zowie EC1 97G/ EC2 93G
1.1 86G
WMO 79G

From personal experience, the 1.1, WMO, and EC2 are going to feel much better rotating between grips, although you're going to have to make a choice

The EC2 has a higher perfect control and malfunction rate, but it also features moderate/usable prediction. I've never owned the mouse or can really speak for it, but there were a few quality control issues and I don't know if they've all been sorted out yet.

1.1/WMO while good, both have a lower perfect control and malfunction rate than most current gen mice on the market. A lot of low sens players are able to trigger negative acceleration past a certain point (IE. 1.55m/s), but that may or may not effect you depending on playing style and the rate in which you're going to move your mouse at. Unlike the EC2, the 1.1/WMO feature minimal prediction. The only other problems I'm aware of is that the cheap plastic scroll wheel encoder will literally break or snap within months if you tend to use it a lot during gameplay. The 1.1 also feels extremely cheap for it's $30 USD MSRP, but the sensor performance is pretty solid for optical technology from the early 2000's.

The Kinzu is optical, slightly smaller, and weights less than both the WMO/1.1, but also happens to have one of the worse sensors on the planet with a low malfunction rate and enormous amounts of unbearable prediction/acceleration. /opinion.

The Xai has similar dimensions of the 1.1, but it looks and some say that it feels like a WMO.[/QUOTE]

Thanks Skylit!

I'm gonna buy 2 mouses and Razer Deathadder is def gonna be one of them.

so the 2nd mouse will be:
Abyssus
WMO
1.1
3.0
EC1
EC2
3200
Valor
MX518

I'm not gonna buy a laser, only gonna go with optical or ir.

Its about the sides, it doesn't matter how similar in measurements they are. The IMO 1.1 has angle sides that slope down and outwards like this : /¯\\ . The WMO has a different shape where the top is bulged but the sides indent a little for you to grip it better, because of this the IMO and WMO feel like completely different mice. The Xai's shape and sides are identical to the WMO's.

Would you say the IME 3.0 is the same shape as the IMO if they were the same size?
