I kinda forgot how the MEElectronics M9 sounded, but I really like the Brainwavz (and I got it for free too ).

The M2 is a tad bass heavy, but it's not so overpowering that it creeps to the mid range and it is tight too. Soundstage is quite small, and positioning (in case you use it for gaming) is horrible.

The M9 is really a great IEM for the price. You can't go wrong with both.

And here's a good thream for IEMs: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/...m2-added-04-16

Thanks. I won't be using them for gaming. I have some JVC RX900s for that. These will just be for listening to music while on campus. I like the price of the M9s, but I'm a bit of a sucker for bass, so I'm still kinda undecided, but I will most likely get either the M9s or the M2s.

The M9s are pretty bass heavy when you get a good seal.

If you're not locked in on the M9s/M6s, I'd recommend the NuForce NE-6's. They're a little bass heavy, but for a budget headphone, I love them. Being a college student I'm sure you wont, but don't slowly get sucked into more expensive headphones. When I was looking, I wanted to pay about 50 bucks and wound up saying, oh these are better and not much more money. I wound up buying Monster Turbine Pro Golds. I love them, but stay strict on your budget if music isn't your life.

Well, I listen to music a lot, and I really enjoy it. I'm really leaning towards the Brainwavz M2 I just don't wanna have to wait 2 weeks to get them... lol

This! Got the M6 for $20 and I absolutely love them! If you use the large triple-flanged tips, they have better bass than my big Panasonic RP-HTX7's

Well, if you have the money, 60 bucks is certainly no outrageous. Would you get them from ? You wouldn't have to wait as long.
