Starting my overclocking adventure...

Thread Starter
I've just set a stable blck overclock @ 154 mhz on my 870. It is using 1.25V on the imc. I tested it a bit using a few runs of LinX ( i got lazy), now im going to slowly raise the clock speed

Make sure your torture test is running long enough to ensure it is physically and thermally stable. It can take an hour or more to hit the max temp.

I've just completed 35 passes of LinX, it only took 28 minutes, and ran without error.
The max temps on each core were:
76C,74C,70C, and 76C

I'n going to try prime95 now. The IMC is @ 1.25V, and the vcore is at 1.29V (actually 1.28C in bios, but reads at 1.29V)

It is at 159x24 = 3823 MHZ or 3.823 GHZ.

Off to Prime95.....

I've also just realized that CPUz doesn't show my vcore for some reason,
it's just blank. Asus ai suite show it at 1.29v
