Im having trouble figuring out Sapphire's warrenty/RMA services..

I recently contacted sapphire tech support and they deemed that my 5770 has a hardware issue causing occassional artifacts while at stock speeds rendering various 3d models, including but not limited to games.

They reffered me to thier RMA support at tech@althonmicro.com

I sent them my convo with sapphire tech and the copy of my invoice.

they sent me an email back claiming that i should contact thier CANADIAN RMA support.

ok no problem, their email is RMA@Althon.com

i sent them the same thing, my convo with sapphire and the invoice.

This is the part where i am confused. The email claims that i must either claim my rma with my original supplier (canada computers) or i must pay a 25$-45$ administration fee for shipping of their RMA services...

If my card is still under the 2 year warranty with sapphire, why should i have to pay shipping charges???

I emailed canada computers inquiring this, but they have not gotten back to me yet.

what are your thoughts/input? Has anyone delt with sapphire's rma before?

PS: i bought my card october 29th 2010

It's usually the retailer that pays for the shipping, not the manufacturer. Try and contact the retailer you purchased the card from.

alright, i did send them an email, im just hoping that they dont have some fine print that i overlooked stating that they will not cover shipping for warrenties after "x" amount of time.

sometimes legal disclosures are so confusing -.-
