I wouldn't trust a used Hard Drive. Stepping down from the WD Caviar Blue 500GB will only save you $1 or $2 at best.

Yeah never hurts. Hopefully they have some good prices on i7's. I'm looking at newegg right now and I've got the following:

GPU's:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130604

Total GPU cost: 1,983.92

CPU's

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115211

Total CPU cost: 539.98

HDD's

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152181

Total HDD cost: 99.98

Total Cost: 2623.88

It's all free shipping so I don't see where we're over our cost?

Also I went with the EVGA's simply because of the lifetime warranty. If any of them die down the road, replacements abound.

You're gonna save $2 and get 640GB less capacity. Yes, I know this is a folding machine, but still.

500Gb is silly. Hell you could run it from a flash drive. A simple 160Gb of more than enough.
I never said by used. Have a look at the Egg for the WD Blue 160Gb. Cheap as chips.

Heck, I'll kick in $50 if it helps. Just tell me where to Paypal it..

Why 950's instead of 920's?

*edit*
Because they're cheaper.
