LOL!!! Thanks for pointing that out!!

Cart has been updated.. the timings are heaps better on those sticks too which is nice =D

Still cruising the cases, unsure whether to get one with a perspex window or straight aluminum, as I can laser cut/etch a perspex with an image if I like... but I haven't found a plain case with a perspex window, LOL.

I can rave all day about the HAF-X or HAF 932, I haven owned any other high end cases...

But these 2 are pretty nice and full of function, airflow, great for cable management. Plus the multiple areas to mount a rad and run your loop internally...

But in the end its your PC so you need to find the one that makes you happy.

Just realised Newegg doesn't ship to me ><

Moved all the parts over to Amazon.. missing the ram though =/
The mobo is $100 more on Amazon also, still worth getting over the Assassin?

Lastly, is this the same system to the asetek 570?

It looks identical...

At this point I would only recommend i7-2600k or i5-2500k and a good 1155 motherboard

Look into the Rampage3 Formula, and the G1 Assasin. Pick the cheapest of the three.
Also look into the Gigabyte X58 UD7 & UD9, the cheapest of those will do just fine. Although the UD9 & R3E are really great boards...

The H70 is a great self contained H2o setup with a super low fail rate, I think one recorded person has mentioned it. Corsair guarantees your whole system, meaning if it leaks and ruins your system they replace it (or so they say)

What is your location???

Do you have any online retailers?

The SB fans are quick clickers, they click first, read second.... LOL Cant hate them, the SB cpu's do clock well...

I'm in Melbourne Australia.

I'll stick with the Rampage 3 =] Haven't heard too many bif's with it so it'll be fine.

I'll be able to buy most of the stuff off amazon.com but might have to ebay a couple of items such as the ram.

CPU: ??
HDD: Vertex 3 240GB SSD (OS & Main programs)
HDD: 1TB Media Storage
HDD: 500GB Storage
HDD: 250GB Storage
HDD: 500GB Storage (The above three HDD's are full of crap from other builds)
GPU: Radeon 6970
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333mhz
Mobo: Rampage III Extreme
Sound Card: X-FI Titanium Fatality Champion
Optical: Samsung Bluray Writer/Reader
Cooling: 2 intake & 2 exhaut fans + Watercooling for the CPU

I use to play games a lot, but am lucky if I play a game once every couple of months.

I do a lot of multi-tasking (50+ browser windows in opera, 15 word documents, 30+ PDF files) at a time is pretty routine for me.

I'm getting the fatality pro sound cause I have AKG K701 headphones which are notoriously difficult to drive when you want to listen to music LOUD.

The computer will be used for CAD related softwares.

I will overclock the cpu, but not hardcore like most people here

Its more than likely this will also be used as a server at a later point in time.

CPU: Core i7 2600K. Refer to these Results from Xbit Labs.

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...x_6.html#sect1

HDD: No need for 240 Gigabytes of SSD Storage. Quite simply you will be content with 120 Gigabytes.

HDD: Western Digital Black 2TB Storage

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6970

RAM: Corsair Dominator Triple Channel 6GB 1333 or 1600.

MOBO: Asus Maximus IV Extreme

Sound Card: Asus Xonar D2X

Optical: LG or Samsung.

Better is better.... The 970 is faster at all multi threaded heavy cpu tasks...

There is a difference between Paper Performance and Noticeable Performance.
