Push n Pull VS normal - Not better temps?

Hey.

I got my 7 AP-14s, so I have installed them.

Before I used 3 randoms (2x 140mm 1x 120mm) as case fans. Now its 3 120mm AP-14s.

At the radiator I used the 2 standard from the XSPC kit. Now there's 4 AP-14s in push n pull (Blowing through the radiator and out at the bottom of the cab)

I put up p95. After 6 and a half hours it was 71C on its max core. Same with the old 2 standard fans after 12 hours..

The room temp was really high tho, when I woke up. That might be it.

Idle temps is better tho

I run them all through my fan controller, on max

Idk, did you check the time of the max temp? It's possible that (especially if it's in a small room) with very little circulation, your computer could have raised your ambients enough so that the air that you recycle back into your computer is hot. Crack a window, open a door or something to get better circulation and check it after an hour or 2. 2 hours of BFBC2 is definitely enough to heat my room.

I had a small window open and rest closed, and I was sleeping overnight, 6 hours of prime. I think thats why.

I will try open a window and see.

Been having another run, at 20-22C room temp. 70C on its max, current was in mid 60s / low.

I think thats decent.

Comparing to my noctua D-14 which was 82 on its highest after 12 hours.

-12c

Is that good enough ?

for me, I find that with push pull I don't have to run fans at higher speed vs push

-12c is a good change, but 70c seems high to me for normal running temperatures. I have a 2600k at 4.3ghz 1.288v with an H50 and I get to 70 on prime, but never above 60 while doing ANYTHING else. As long as you're hitting 70 on prime and nothing else, it should be okay.

Its funny, I was going to say that it was a high temp, but then I looked and saw that you're pushing 1.424v 24/7, so I think it'll be fine. I wouldn't really want to push my own chip that fast or high voltage 24/7 because it'll likely shorten the life of the chip (whatever that life is... I think the normal expected life is like 10 years, but who keeps a computer that long anyway). I think you're good to go if you're at 5ghz at 70c.
