I mean come on, who would play a PS3 or XBox with out surround sound? That's just blasphemy.
A lot of people play ps3 or xbox on just a regular tv no surround sound.. however I will give my opinion on the aspect of PC gaming and why someone would want to choose it over console. Is PC gaming "Really" more expensive then console gaming? This appilies for Xbox, no matter what online game you play on Xbox you have to pay as with PC you just buy the game (depending on the game of course) and theres not fee to play. Everyone has a PC just about, so someone could just pay 200+/- dollars on a few upgrades and they would be able to play on PC, not max it out but hell they still could play and enjoy it. Id say it just all depends on what you like to do better, some people already use the computer a lot like using facebook, IM, storing pictures listening to music etc that it just makes more sense to upgrade there PC a little and be able to do everything better. Now if you don't have a PC or console and you just want to game maybe a console is better however, I think its fair to say most people have a PC. I know when I was little and starting out gaming I did that on a PC because A) I liked using the computer for everything, b) I could spend money on a PC and have it for music, internet, iming, etc and I could still use it even if I didn't have a certain game. When you spend 400$ on a console you need to buy a game in order to really use it. Another thing someone might consider is PC games last longer then console games, someone with a 1 time budget may want to invest into a computer and be able to play the game without having to go out and buy a new game every few months to play with there friends (think of how long and still popular counter strike is) Also someone who buys a console is most likely already going to have a computer because of internet connection so I guess that would clear out the "if you dont have a PC" certainly I still think its the classic "People buy what there budget, and friends have"
