I thought the Asus was gonna be a winner for me. But after seeing videos on how the video capture is, im leaning away from it. I also dont like how they use their own "special" connector to charge it (not sure about micro usb). I like the form factor.
I also looked at the a500. I love how it has usb 2.0, micro usb, and sdcard reader. But dont like the wide footprint or how its now and IPS screen.
I'll wait longer till Android 3.0 is developed more and see what tablets can be rooted and supported for good Roms. Maybe custom ROMS will fix a lot of bugs and kinks in honeycomb and make these android tablets shine
I don't think anyone will "seriously" substitute their point and shoot for a tablet and that said, video capture will be fixed with a firmware update. The ASUS has proprietary as do all tablets because it would take AGES. for the battery to charge over micro USB!!
Not sure but you Do or DO NOT LIKE it for it being an IPS panel? Because it just adds to a factor of awesome to the already amazing tablet, I bet it's modeled after ASUS's own art pro monitors. an owner of the iPhone 4 and Dell u2311h, I just can't see myself not using an IPS panel on my tablet.
Currently there are two roms on XDA but they aren't that great, but you're right they will get better.
You should really double check not buying a transformer because believe me it will be a great device.
Or you could wait for my review ;D
