So no store has it?
And newegg, BB and amazon show it as back ordered. So cool guys, my oh my. My dreams have been crushed and this review is delayed for awhile >_>

Maybe I should think of that Acer Iconia A500

I think I may make a big mistake right now. I think I might go pick up that Iconia. My patientice has broken and this selling out is the last straw ASUS, last bleep straw. You should've allowed preordering, sent shipments to actuall devs and shipped more to the US. I Had it with this wait.

I'm going to wait on the Transformer. Iconia is nice but I don't think it has an IPS panel.

Went to my local stables to check out some tablets. They didnt have the acer iconia, but had a blackberry playbook (ugh) and xoom (ok).

Probably going to wait on the Asus. I had a chance to order from newegg when they were in stock this morning, unfortunately I just couldnt get myself to pull the trigger without seeing it in person.

From this point on, all EEE Pad Transformer will be back-ordered until the month of May (around May 1 probably).
If you still want to grab one now, try B&H Photo. They will start taking order through their website (not only transformer, but their whole stuff) today (4/26) on 9 PM EST

hmmm... Seeing this makes me want to wait.

The ICONIA doesn't have an IPS panel and has a slightly reduced battery. But it has higher bench scores than other tabs in pretty much everything.

Meh. IDK. I'm pissed at Asus and their marketing ploys, WHO THE heck stocks like 5 tabs, ofcourse it will sell out. yeesh marketing ploy :[

Iconia is right here, I can go pick one up right now. Its very tempting not to.

They sold out here in canada as well. So I went out and bought a Xoom. Its ok... I hope the transformer is better than this. I can return this in two weeks if I want.

Typing this little paragraph was painful, it is terribly slow...

Something I found out thats interesting.. The Transformer has ddr2 memory while the A500 has ddr3. So theoretically the a500 is a tad faster wink.gif benchmarks prove it.

I still think im going to wait till Christmas to see what gets released.
Asus- no usb 2.0 (only with keyboard dock), poor video capture and no LED flash. But is slimmer, plus its Asus.
a500- no IPS screen, more bulky, annoying off-center front camera. Has additional usb port, faster memory, led flash, not to mention its available now in more than one place.

Thats how I see these two. Thats why I say ill wait because I'd buy the Asus if it had the usb port and was able to capture video better. I would be hesitant to buy the Acer because of the extra bulk, i feel I would be settling for the best of the worst (per say).

I think manufactures will see trends of sales on these new android tablets and read peoples feedback to then hopefully put a "all in one package". I see these as a test phase before the "perfect storm" of android tablets wink.gif

The acer (even with a weak backing) has a really nice brushed alu feelings.

Also Asus employing shady marketing tactics like apple and motorola, or nintendo and Microsoft gaming, piss me off.

Screw you Asus, screw you. I could've preordered tonight, but I didn't.

Yeah that DDR3 ram is what gets Acer the highest score in everything compared to like every tablet on the market now.
I bet if we OC it to 1.2 - 1.5 we could pull off like 50MFLOPS and make our lives smoother, but its not a necessity. The battery life is awful so its like thinking.gif should I buy this? I don't need a portable tablet, I need a big tablet, which is why I'm looking at the 10"ers.
