And possibly your CPU? This is actually going to be a bit of a strain on a PSU so I would suggest making sure yours is quality ( I have no idea what gigabytes are like )
Two GTX 570's can run on a 650-700w. Three can run on a 850-900w. Four isn't going to be a problem for a decent 1200w.

No SLI, not sure if that would figure in the power requirements equation.

SLI doesn't matter, as I am assuming you are folding, which is full stress on the cards.

Since everyone feels fit to reiterate to me exactly what I already stated, I decided to look up the PSU; if you are running the Gigabyte Odin Pro, it is an old model PSU, but the quality looks good. It has 99A on the 12V rails, though I'm still not sure what temperatures it is rated at, it should be fine with decent air flow through your case.

I got the PSU in Jan, so it not too old. It is an Odin, but cannot remember about the 'Pro' bit.

I have lots of airflow, as I said I have extra heat extraction for the GPUs with an extra Noctua 120mm fan stuck to the rear. The CPU is vented out of the top and read with Noctua 140mm & 120mm, plus two 120mm Noctua fans pushing air in, one directly in-front of the GPUs and the other higher in-front of the CPU cooler.

The PSU sucks in the bottom and directly out the rear, I may have to do something about ground raising the clearance to allow better airflow.

Thanks,

I am quite worried, the GTX 590 vents hot air out of the font of the card as well as out the back. Expelling so much HOT! (1 x GPU worth) air directly inside the front of the case. And likely to get sucked up by my 2 x 570s.

I like the performance of the 590, but I think the two 570s may have issues with now sucking in hot air and not cooler air.

And my 570s expel very hot air most of the time, as they are >80% utilization 23hrs a day, the same would be for the 590.

Some more reading is needed before deciding, but I may end up with another 570.
