Can it work conveniently with 99% of the accessories, such as docking stations, on the market? Thats the only thing that prevents me from buying a phone or mp3 player(or tablet, though I don't plan to buy one) other than apple, even though all I would be doing is fueling the reasoning like a self-fulfilling prophesy. There just isn't that much support 3rd party or 1st party like you get with any portable product Apple has. People come into my store all day(best buy) and I always have a hard time selling any other mp3 player because if anyone asks "where do you guys have cases for them?" or anything like that, I have to point to a hardly stocked 4 foot section, while right behind them is a 20 foot section of iPod accessories, on top of another 12 feet of docking stations that work perfectly with charging and playing through ipods and iphones on top of half the car stereos and sound systems that have ipod and iphone kits. Same idea behind the Xoom. We have a keyboard for the Xoom, and a case. Thats about it as far as accessories go. We don't have any of the connector cables.
I want android to succeed, but its just hard for me to make my way over to that camp when my iphone has all the apps I want, has the 3rd party support I want, and I never have to worry about it not working with any peripheral I use in the most convenient and ideal way.
That said my iphone 4 has been awesome so far so I see no need to upgrade. I think I'll wait until next year to make the move over.
