..You'll be able to hit 5ghz on the 212+ just like any other decent high end cooler. Assuming your chip/board are capable enough.

Turning off EIST is not required to get high overclocks on Sandy (or on Nehalem for that matter.) You can turn it off, but enjoy higher idle temps and way higher power consumption as a result.

The V6gt isn't all it's cracked up to be, and certainly not for it's price.

I still want to know.. where are you getting the idea that the 212+ is no better than the stock cooler.

Looked at those but alot of people say there not much better then the stock cooler.
4.5ghz load was around 75c for me with stock, now its only 52c in prime. with 212+.
