I realise it got mixed reviews on here, but I bought it on steam as it was on offer, and tbh, its gotta rate as one of the best games I've played over recent years and certainly would fit into my top 20 of all time, I loved it.
Graphics and overall imersion due to design was breathtaking at times,


thoughts ?

Yeah, the Story was extremely linear and fun to play

The 50/60's Vibe with the old skool cars made it so good, just that I wished they made a Free Roam (GTA) at the end.. The map would be great for it and I mostly hoon on the highways trying to get my Speedo of the clock

Great game, would have easily paid full price for it if I was into that sort of 40s/50s genre game. I got it for the steam sale and ended buying the DLC as well. Probably the most realistic game I've played, even frustratingly so with the police everywhere.

yeh I got it whilst it was on offer, really glad I did, I got myself in the mood by watching Goodfellas before I played it for the first time.
I must admit, I wish it gave the option of free roam once completed,
I got one of the DLC but regreted it as I got stuck with a car I didn't like that couldn't be crushed,
Its the first game of its type I've ever played, (gonna try the latest GTA now to see how it compares)

cant stop thinking about this game, think it was mainly due to the fact I bought it on a whim, and it turned out to be really enjoyable.

It mite be the first game in years that I actually play through twice,
anyone know if you keep the cars you collected if you start again on any mission ?

I got it free when I bought my graphics card... Maybe it's time to redeem that code and try it out. Hopefully my system can run it better than GTAIV, which had abysmal performance on my (then) top-o'-the-line rig.

I loved it! Especially earning Playboys LOL. However i hope they will make Mafia 3 and it'll be much better than the second. We need more free roaming play and longer Single Player games. They need to start making long SP like ASSASSIN CREED games they take a LONG time and i like that!
