I highly suggest he gets the HD 6950 and if hes not going to be doing any hardcore overclocking than you might as well pick the i5-2500, not the K. 8Gb of ram isn't needed for gaming.

So My list right now
i5 2500k- $180 @ MC
Mobo- ????
GPU- Gigabyte amd radeon 6870 $209.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125357
Ram- 2x4gb $84.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231311
Case-???
Power Supply- If im not mistaken if not overclocking I think a sufficient 400W-500W would be fine???
right now for everything the cost is $474.98
still need a case and power supply. Help me try to put it under $650 so i can get a hdd and odd. and then $100 for monitor.
all games are listed in the op, for streaming etc..
IMO You will be better off getting a GTX560ti, you can get it on sale for around the same price as a 5870. It will out perform the 5870 in most games /benchmarks

iF YOUR NOT OVERCLOCKING WHY THE K SERIES? YOU REALLY DONT NEED IT.

For cases here a a few i like.
