P67A-GD65 B3 - Reboots - Page 3

I would have to say it's your board. I recommend Asus, Gigabyte, and even AsRock as replacement brands.

Don't jump back to AMD just yet. At least wait for Bulldozer. I won't be the first to tell you how much awesome SB CPUs can put out. I switched from my 1090T to a 2600k and will never look back.

If can't find a fix just exchange for another one (if that benefit has not expired) or RMA the mobo. And don't let everybody tell you it's a MSI thing. This has happen to ASUS & Gigabyte P67 mobos (all you have to do is Google & you will clearly see)

I have the same issue as you with p67a-gd65 and I know what the problem is. There is a compatiblity issue with Msi p67 boards and gskill memory. GSkill is well aware of this.

You can look at this thread on there forums

http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=8076

and this thread here

G skill flares are supposed to work on 890fxa-gd70, but they have issues and with any other 1800 ram. It's not the same case as it was asus with ocz. MSI is to blame.

oh , I agree MSI is to blame. That's why I am sending this board back to newegg for a refund.

Blame GSKill...They're the one who stated on their site that the Flares work...not MSI Now if I'm wrong, please show me cuz that memory is not listed on the MSI site for that AMD mobo you're referring to

There are other users that couldn't get to work patriot or geil 1800 ram in that same board. You can find them in msi 890fxa-gd70 club and I toasted my 890fxa-gd70 club. Of course not everyone likes 1800 ram, the ones using 1600 ram have no issues, at least till board burns. The problem was not G Skill.
