Appraisal: i7 980x system

Thread Starter
I am looking to sell a server that I built for my web hosting firm. This server was lightly used, so all the parts are in perfect condition.

System has never been overclocked.

CPU - i7 980X
MB - EVGA E758
RAM - G Skill RipJaws 12GB
HD - 2 x 2TB Western Digital Caviar Green

the case is some cheap Rosewill case from newegg, nothing worth mentioning.

What can I get for all of this? Please put prices for individual items, as I am sure that no one will be the system as is.

Thanks.

You used THAT for a server. I'm so jellous.

Anyways

980x goes in the range of $600-$700
I bought that same board used for $125 so that sounds good
Ram $100
$60 for each hdd

How'd you like those drives for a server? I need to convert all my blacks to 2tb and I'm thinking about picking up the green ones. Did you have then in raid?

No, we could not get RAID to work with them. We have a Dell Perc 6i that we were going to use, but it was not working properly with the MB and drives. After looking it up, we found that the Green drives do not perform in raid well.

We've got 980Xs in the for sale section that are finding it hard to sell these days. I'd say it is worth at least $650 minimum but apparently its a buyers market with the newer SBs.
