It looks like it's meant for building a cluster.

Little OS?

http://www.jolicloud.com/
That's made for netbooks.
You also have Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

I personally use Linux Mint LXDE. But that's me.

It looks like an experimental OS for crunching numbers in a cluster. They don't plan a GUI either... It is also written in Assembly and not C, most systems are written in C and drivers/ect... are written in Assembly. Interesting how they made the whole system in Assembly. You actually should get better performance, unfortunately it's a lot more work.

Looks like it would be a nice OS base for a dedicated folding rig or something along those lines. It's definitely not for general use.

4GB is more than enough, you can use any Linux Distro you would want.
Jolicloud is nice, dont forget the Chrome OS and the Ubuntu Netbook Remix or whatever they renamed it recently.

Also dont forget to use the Universal Pendrive Linux Installer or Unetbootin, thos make life way easier.
