I am guessing that is the new EK blocks mounting system in which case they designed those screws to go down to the correct length where you will receive optimum contact pressure which is awesome.

Unlike their earlier counter part (which I own) where you have to take a guess at how far down you need to crank em and then measure out the distance from the mobo to the screw nut and make sure they are all equal and then use a level to check further.

Actually, the mounting screws came from my XT wb. I just wanna know if it's better to use it since it is so easy to mount my previous XT with this system. I made a judgement call and just took off those mounting screws since I could see the glob of TIM and not a flat spread of it. Looked good though to use the XT's mountings.
