This isn't "Anon" if you actually read the article you would know that its a problem with the network in Japan.

Also I always wonder when people write about how "anon" is an actual organized group. It's not anything close to that, its just a bunch of random people who make videos and pull pranks and call themselves anonymous. There's no leader, there's no structure, its made up of anyone who wants to call themselves "anonymous."

Their main site isn't hosted by 'a bunch of random people'.

I doubt its Annonymous, they tend to make it well known when they are attacking to gain attention to their cause. Also Sony would let you know to avoid further damage to reputation. To be perfectly honest the money sony takes from you guy's who use this service should have tougher security,or at least a back-up plan.

so true. i work with networks and the nature of our company means that we would get any new hardware required within 4 hours and have at least 5 consultants and a whole team working on it all day and night with a full backup plan in place and a reduction in any SPOF within the existing system. furthermore we have other people as well as the onsite consultants who trawl through logs, its a global support team and our business is very small compared to Sony!

perhaps a multi billion pound global organization that focuses its market on media should be more clued up on security? and have uh, i dunno.. 10 different failover backup options

the world is its oyster when i comes to security they have so much money.

What does that have to do with facts? Sony is having internal issues, good chance it's Steamworks causing it. They tried to indirectly blame Anonymous and lie to everybody.
