The XFX PSU is good btw. But you won't need anymore than 650W. That's plenty.
There are XFX Black Edition PSU's at 650W and 750W as well.
That EVGA P67 FTW looks super nice, I always heard EVGA was a great company. This may be the way I go, how good of an overclock is expected on one of these? I'd rather just get the 850w for future upgrades without having to upgrade the PSU too. I'm paying to live at college, so the energy bill isn't my problem anyway. lol

Some could get it to 5 GHz with stock cooler. Commonly 4.5-4.7 GHz with stock cooler, which is extremely awesome.

Check out this eventually - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...idge,2837.html.
It will not relate to the individual model of any motherboards, but merely the chipsets.

Good that post helped.

Btw, if you are going to acctualy go Intel way, You might wanna wait 2 weeks untill Z68 Chipsets come out for 1155 Chipsets. Its gonna combine the Integratewd video from H67 and the Overclock from P67 Chipset.
The best part is that i5 has Integrated video. When you overclock your i5 you overclock the video as well and you can take the advante of i5 video + integrated video+ GPU to get a setup something like Hybrid technology from AMD. IMO this is a very good boost.
Besides Z68 chipset is going to bring some other good stuff.
If you wanna rush for P67 Chipset, CHECK ITS B3! And I'll suggest Asus P8P67 Deluxe or GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD5-B3.

Good luck!

I entirely agree.

Intel has this new Quick Sync graphics integrated in the new Sandy Bridge CPU's. If you're ever decoding or encoding video, it's completely awesome ! Even Nvidia's CUDA is no match at all.

I also suggest the Z68. It's more enthusiast minded.

Okay, I've read some about the new chipset. My question is what exactly would I be able to do with the onboard video? I'll have 2 x gtx460s for video, can the onboard video do Physix?

As I wrote, it's way faster at converting - decode, encode ..

Remember if you go with the Phenom II x6 you can hop on the bandwagon with an AM3+ socket board. Am3+ will feature processors with up to 8 cores, at 32nm, with better performance than Phenom II. Which means that without a doubt (multithreaded) performance will beat LGA1155's quad cores

These "Bulldozer" processors are out in 1-2 months

I thought that most games were not multithreaded, which is why the intels beat the AMDs at performance.

Some new games such as Civ V, Starcraft II, and Crysis 2 are core-optimized
Which platform you choose is up to you, but 32nm AMD FX series will most definitely be an improvement over Phenom II and I think it'll be able to contend Intel's Sandy Bridge pretty well

That's why bulldozer is like the opposite of hyper threading.

To the OP
If you still plan on going phenom, just get a 1055/1075 with that asrock board, you can easily reach 4.0 GHz or more with any of them.
