To the OP
If you still plan on going phenom, just get a 1055/1075 with that asrock board, you can easily reach 4.0 GHz or more with any of them.
Are all of the x6's unlocked multis? Will the CIV be able to handle the bulldozer processors when they come out?

No, but it's not that difficult to raise cpu fsb. That crosshair is a good board, that will support bulldozer somehow. That asrock board looks great too and it comes with am3+ socket. Of course the bios won't be as friendly as the one in asus. Do you really need that x6? Maybe you can be happy with a 955 till buldozer comes out.

IMO I would wait for Bulldozer. It'll be here soon enough. For this though, G.Skill is a great brand but I prefer Mushkin or Corsair. Mushkin is like AMD but has great performance while Corsair is basically Intel since they're all out performance so Corsair is for people where price isn't a concern. I would get a 1090T or a 1055T. 1100T is like a speed boost for the 1090T. The same thing goes with the 1075T to the 1055T.

What is the price range susposed to be for one of these new 8 cores?

I can handle that. I'll probably wait and see what turns out and decide from there.
