Do yourself a favor and do it right. Either go straight to the SSD and use your 500GB drive as a data drive, or buy 2 more HDDs and make one Data and RAID0 the other two.
Build does look good for a first time though. Very good choice of hardware as well. You definitely did your research. The only thing I would've changed is use a modular power supply in the future as it makes things look much cleaner inside.
Thanks for the comments, Josh!
From what I understand, RAID0 increases performance per drive you add (with dimishing returns). I will definitely get the SSD before adding the second HDD.
Once I get my fan controller, I'm going to disassemble the case and reroute the cables. I put this build together rather quickly, so taking the time to route cables behind the motherboard tray will go a long way as far as cable management is concerned. I also like the looks of NZXT's individually sleeved cables
. I think I'll purchase at least the 24-pin ATX power cable to give the inside a better look. I do agree that modular would look better, but when you're on a budget, you get more (cables) for your money! (yay me~ lol)
Thank you for taking the time to look at my build!
