Quick Build Question

Thread Starter
I'm about to upgrade my current system with a new Mobo, CPU, and RAM. Will I need to reinstall my operating system at any point or can I simply disconnect my drives from my current cpu/mobo, swap in the new one, and reconnect and turn on? Thanks.

You'll need to rebuild since it'll be a new architecture of system.

Rebuild meaning what, a full reinstall? What will happen if I don't?

You'll end up with driver incompatibilities, issues with booting, instability.

And yes, a reformat and reinstall of windows.

a clean install would be best. if you want to try, keep with the same make of motherboard. I upgraded my friends ASUS AMD to an INTEL build and it didnt require a reformat.
