Temps good? (i5 2500K)

Thread Starter
I would like to know if my temps are good. Running Prime 95 @ full CPU load.

Intel Core i5 2500K
4.43 Ghz (103Mhz x 43.0)

Cooler Master Hyper 212+ (Push Pull config)/ Arctic Silver 5 TIM
Running on an ASUS P8P67 PRO
CPU Push/Pull fans running @ 2000rpm

Currently @ full load I'm getting 57°C

Please post your thoughts.

Temps are surprisingly low. I would have thought you'd be touching 65 - 70

What program are you using to stress your processor? And what temp monitring program you using?
yes temps are good. SB doesn't run that hot
post #4 of 18
as compuman said sounds quite low (which is awesome) but whats your ambient temps?

EDIT: after how long do you get 57c degress? whats your vcore and just out of curiosity what fans are you using for push/pull?

Prime95 barely gets my chip to 60ºC, although IBT w/new Linpack skyrockets temps to a staggering 75ºC!!!

Gaming, I haven't seen them above 55ºC, so I'm perfectly satisfied
post #8 of 18
75 is more like it tbh,

And yes, those temps are still well within thermal limits

Prime 95. I'm using ASUS AI Suite II

I think voltage was less than 1.3

Cable management is great. Take a look at my build log here and you can see. I haven't yet taken the time to fine tune the inside looks, but it still looks decent. There is about 1/4 in of space between the motherboard tray and the cases motherboard-side door. Excellent case for the price, most other cases are lacking a lot for this price, but the HAF is great!

I'll try that program and see what happens.

Check out coretemp as well, I find that to be very reliable.
