Should I use my old Sound Blaster Audigy instead of onboard?

Thread Starter
I have an old PCI Sound Blaster Audigy(the 24 bit one) instead of my onboard chip? I was thinking it would benefit me because lately I've been experimenting with different sound programs to use with my Yamaha Organ that has a USB MIDI connection. I want to make my own electronic music so well I though I might use the stuff I never use(if you know any good tutorials it would not hurt to post them here)

Appreciate the help

Your motherboard has ALC 889A or something right? It should be better than the Audigy, but who knows? Try it out and see which of the two you prefer.

I would use it. I have an old Audigy LS and it still sounds better than onboard.
