p8p67 deluxe problems

Thread Starter
Just finished a build for a friend of mine. Went very smooth, first time I've messed with a sandy bridge and the p67 boards. Got windows installed, drivers, etc. Doing some windows updates, restart after every installation. Pretty much done, had an extra fan laying around, and so I shut it completely down for the first time, installed it, and now nothing. Video doesnt come up or anything, I've had error codes on the board from 20 to 2f, both referring to memory in the manual, but I've tried two different sets of memory that I KNOW work. Please help, and any ideas would be appreciative.

p8p67 board
i7 2600k
crucial 64gb ssd
samsung 1tb storage drive
corsair 650w PS

Anything else you need to know about it just ask

Thanks in advance

1. If any of the following devices are not detected or not usable:
- Devices installed on PCIEx1_1 slot
- Devices installed on PCIEx1_2 slot
- The additional SATA6G port from Marvell 9128
- eSATA controller
- Devices installed on PCI_1 slot
- Devices installed on PCI_2 slot
- Onboard 1394 controller
- Second LAN
Please check the device manager under 'Storage controllers' , look for a device with the name 'ACS-6xxxx'. The manufacturer is 'Accusys Inc.' and will have an exclamation mark next to it.
This driver may be installed automatically when users run Windows Update, which causes a malfunction of these devices. Please uninstall the driver, reboot, and then those devices/slots will be available. We have asked MS to pull this driver from the auto update procedure.

Id love to try that, but I cant even get it to POST. The RAM LED light just stays on, sometimes it blinks, sometimes not. Tried clearing the cmos, taking the battery out, unplugging it, everything. Anyone have any ideas to at least get it to post, so I can get in and update the BIOS, maybe thats the problem.

Thanks

Try unplugging/replugging the power cable to the PSU while ON to invoke the ASUS CPR function. It might work.

Hold the "Mem Ok" button down for a few secs and the board WILL turn on and you will be able to get to the bios and maybe see if there's a problem (see if your board reads any ram etc)

So, the very last hardware thing you did was connect up a new fan. Try removing it. Maybe it is defective (short circuit or too much current draw) and screwing up the power supply voltages.

Yup, thought about that as well. First thing I did was unplug it, its been unplugged every since. Everything is unhooked except for ram and video card. Tried RAM and video card in my computer no problems at all.

I've had codes from F2, 20, 59 on the p67 deluxe, I'm pretty certain the board is just crazy. Guess I'm going to try and RMA it to newegg.
