Banner from AC/DC black Ice album

Two years ago I started BLACK!CE, [v1.0]
With a decent loop and later on, the addition of a 6950, I was happy with my build.
After My second kid was born I just didn't have time to do any modding.

Recently I picked up a new PSU to push my new GPU.
I Started taking apart my machine, when I thought "This needs a MAJOR overhaul."
"If I'm going to take the time to Sleeve a new PSU, Then I better have a
nice system worth putting it in."
And that was the Beginning of the BLACK!CE II project.

redo.png
The BIGGEST CHANGE (the true motivation) is to turn the motherboard 90*
and Optimize watercooling and cable management.

-I will also be modding the chassis to accommodate a RX360 on its side(TJ07 Style)
-Sleeving a CM Silent Gold 800.
-paint
-bondo to streamline
-Full PLEXI side panels
-possibly some Diamond plate accents

Most Recent Update: 10/27/11
CIMG0571.jpg

Still Fabbing the Chassis. Feel free to leave any Ideas.
Any help with picking a color scheme would be appreciated.

This is what colors I have picked for now.

Why rotate the MB 90*? I've heard of it being done but the reason to escapes me.

Probably for the better temps that come with that orientation but mostly because no one has done it before on OCN! And thats what it's all about cool.gif

1. less stress on the GPU's PCB
2. Better Temps ^^^heat rises^^^
3. to make room for a 360 rad at the bottom

the overall Idea comes from the Silverstone RVO2.
That and I'm itching to play with some sheet metal:D

Furrry...

This time I'll use matching fans;)
Those cross members that hold the doors on GOT TO GO!

Having the Rad on the bottom will make it a lot easyer to bleed and clean.

Tomarrow I will drill out rivets and pick up some sheet metal and start getting crazy

This will make a few things so much easier.

I just drilled through 1/8" steel like it was butter!

Currently I'm looking for some nice sheet metal that wont bend when I cut it.
I've been thinking street signs.devil.gif
