Eyefinity.. I'm not impressed. - Page 6

Aaaah the skewing...

Minecraft teaches you to love it

It goes down to the game. If it was made for EF, then it'll look amazing. If it wasn't, it will look way too skewed and disproportioned.

Up to the looker aswell.

It's not a question if the game was made for eyefinity

Higher FOV = more skewing
Lower FOV = Less skewing

That. NOTHING else. I prefer higher FOV to lower with less skewing because I feel limited by low FOV very often.

Still don't like the skewing either, though.

Get your facts straight
Yup, think of it in terms of video cameras. You can use a wide angle lens but you get a lot of distortion at the edges. If you used three different cameras, slightly angled away from each other you can get the same degree of view with no distortion. But, PC games just aren't coded for multiple points of view so we will likely always be stuck with one wide, distorted POV. Well, until a holodeck is invented.

It would be horrible. Assuming that the camera angles are alinged perfectly, the skewing distribution on the single screens would be uneven. I'd rather take the current FOV scaling, kthx.

theres no skewing if all three monitors are adjacent. when you turn them in it goes skewed which is supposed to mimic peripheral vision. all adjacent is just a 5760x1080 image of the front view.

& its only bottom half of screen that skews when you turn the side monitors in. the top half is in line and peripheral. this is due to the right angeld triangle bezel adjustment. you can match the 45o line going down, but the bottom line is impossible to match up, unless all monitors are perfectly adjacent. so with eyefinity u actually have 2 viewing choices.

how can u not like it? my best purchase, ever.

For racing games you want skew for better immersion otherwise the action looks "artificial". Dunno how better to explain it.
