What card to get, best bang for buck + multimonitors

Hey guys,
Looking to get a new card, will most likely buy used off the forum. Not sure what to get though. Money isnt really a big deal i just want something thats best bang for buck thant wont devalue by 50% in 3 months.

Im also thinking of going multimonitor soon (3 24" monitors or 2 24" and a 27") havent decided yet.

Any ideas?
Also what about monitors, anybody know anything about thin bezel monitors or taking completely removing the bezel?
Thanks

try something older then. thing that maybe isnt the latest and greatest but will be awesome with some overclocking.. seem like the 400 series came out and everyone forgot about the ati 4000s, 5000s, and nvidia 9000s lol

well 3 monitors need sli or a dp for input or adapter.
6950 2gb reference and unlock to a full 6970.
To push that res your going to need faster.
560ti in sli or 2 580 sli for gaming. or 2 6970 (6950 bios hack) in crossfire.

as for monitors , cant help ya im look @ 1920/1080 @ 120hz led lg i like it . your looking for like led 60hz-75hz monitors i hate thos. as for 28 inch i had a hanns g is was ok but hated the 60hz.
Removing the panels need almost to cut it off. not point into that light bleed.
isp is got truer colors but tn are for gamers.

Real point are you going to use it as a eyefedility or just one.
allways can sli the 260. cheap now.

If you want multi monitors then i'd recommend you the 6970 2GB and especially the Asus 6970 DirectCU II Eyefinity 6. 2GB cards will help you @ the high res. Only AMD cards allow you to use 3x or more monitors with one card for surround. If you want CF or Sli then it's different story.

A new card? singular? just one card?

If so, then it is best to find an AMD card, as powerful as possible. If you can find an used HD6950 2GB, this would be the best-bang-for-buck card.

If you allow 2 cards, then I recommend a pair of used GTX460 2GB.

Review of GTX460 2GB SLI in 3-monitor Surround: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com...eatured_Review

For monitors, take a look at Dell U2311H. Reasonable price with reasonable bezel size (20mm).

only way to go bezel-less is via projectors but that's not that practical...samsung makes some monitors specifically for multi-monitor setups with small bezels but they are rather expensive.

If you are going to be doing an eyefinity/surround setup I would definitely recommend mid to high end cards 6950/70 2gb models x2 for amd (or 6990 is suppose)

as for Nvidia it becomes a bit more difficult but there are non-reference cards out there with more Vram which you really need if you are running resolutions that high. The bang for the buck just isn't there on nvidia cards if you are running super high resolutions

Ya im not that into gaming anymore, occasional gaming yes but nothing huge. And if i was gaming it would most likely be on the single centre screen not eyefinity (i dont like having the bars).
The multiple screens is mostly for productivity.

Honestly at this point im open to anything. Id rather not sli b/c im thinking of going water and want to cool the gpu as well (would rather not add another one into that mix).

As for TN, id rather not get TN and i know that theres a huge difference but at the moment all i can afford is TN if im going multi monitor.

Edit*
Is it absolutely impossible to go sans bezel??
Is it not possible to build a bezel and set them in it? Im not adverse to some major modding to do this. Id just rather not do anything electrical in the monitor. If its all hardware stuff id be down to building a wooden frame and mounting them in it.

I would then suggest a reference 6950 2g and call it good....enough horsepower for occasional gaming and the ability to hook up all three monitors to one card (with active adapter).

Money can almost take bezel away.

This NEC 46'' has 3.65mm bezel all around (for US$3800).

Oled displays are just getting more popular. Samsung and LG both have something with ultra slim bezel for some extra $.
