I am no expert in Gygabyte motherboards, but imo its a very old version of BIOS.

But nevertheless, it's indeed weird that it runs ok on HDD but not on SSD.

I AM SO STUPID!

I may have, uh, perhaps, forgotton to inform you all that my graphics card is also connected to my TV.

Whew.

It works, basically. It just displays it on my TV. I know how to get it on my monitor, that's no longer a problem. Damn, I completely forgot about that..

Sorry for the headaches caused trying to figure this out!

LOL well we learn from our mistakes. If you had said this however I would have pointed you to your TV lol as I am hooked up to multiple monitors.

Glad you sorted it OP. Happy your mobo was not the problem. I just chucked an UD3R in the trash because for more than a year it has given me nothing but problems.

We always learn new things . Next time check the Video output

Try running the SSD benchmark now

It's actually worse, aha. The Write speed is better at 108MB/s but the read speed is lower at 128mb/s. For a total score of something below 230, can't remember exactly as I didn't take a screen.

Not sure what to do, not much I CAN do. One question directed to Wishmaker, there's a BLUE and a WHITE cable/socket for harddrives, the WHITE uses "Gigabyte SATA 2 Controller" wheras the other is controlled by "ICH10R". What does this mean, and does it affect TRIM support? The SSD is conencted into the WHITE.

The G-SATA needs a Gigabyte driver to function properly. The blue ones are controlled by INTEL. The blue ones have TRIM 100% don't think the Gigabyte ones do. Use the Blue ones.

Are you on AHCI? Did you install the chipset and Matrix Storage?
